According to the industry on the 24th, Kakao recently announced the performance bonus calculation details based on employee evaluation grades. Depending on the evaluation, employees were found to have received bonuses of around 8% of their annual salary. In some cases, team leaders can provide additional amounts based on performance, resulting in employees receiving a maximum of 8%+α as a performance bonus.
Kakao's recent performance bonuses have been slightly increased or are similar compared to the previous year (up to 7% of the annual salary). Considering the average salary per Kakao employee (101 million won), it is estimated that employees received about 8 million won as a performance bonus. The average salary per Kakao employee was disclosed in the 2023 business report, while last year's data has not yet been released.
