OpenAI has launched the artificial intelligence (AI) agent 'Operator' in South Korea.
According to the industry on the 23rd, OpenAI explained that it opened the 'Operator' feature to professional users of 'ChatGPT' in countries including South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom through its official X account on the 21st. The service is only available to those using the $200 (approximately 290,000 Hanwha) professional subscription plan per month.
'Operator' is a service that allows AI to directly access websites and automatically perform specific tasks. When instructed by the user, AI can open a browser and access a site, using a mouse and keyboard to handle orders, reservations, and payments. It can be utilized in various fields such as ticket booking, business travel expense reimbursement, and online shopping.
Since the AI performs tasks in the background, the user can carry out other tasks without waiting. However, for security-sensitive parts, such as entering card information during payment, the user must do it manually.
Currently, 'Operator' can only be used on a dedicated website, but OpenAI has indicated that it is considering direct integration with the 'ChatGPT' app service in the future.
