LG Uplus participated in the world's largest telecommunications expo, MWC25, and announced on the 23rd that it will open its first standalone exhibition booth and showcase AI-centered future technologies. In particular, it plans to introduce differentiated AI technology to the world, focusing on 'security,' which is one of the most important values in customers' use of AI.
The MWC25, taking place on March 3 (local time) at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain, will feature over 200 countries and more than 2,700 corporations, based on the theme 'Converge, Connect, Create.'
LG Uplus will set up a large exhibition booth of 792 square meters (approximately 240 pyeong) at the core exhibition hall of MWC25, the Fira Gran Via, and showcase key technologies that will lead into the future. In particular, it will unveil AI technologies and solutions that customers can trust and rely on, centered around this year's key exhibition keyword, 'Assured Intelligence.'
The LG Uplus exhibition will feature differentiated security solutions applying 'Assured Intelligence', enhanced custom AI agents, examples of AI collaboration with various partner companies, and the vision of AI that LG Uplus envisions.
Specifically, it is expected that competitive technologies and services, such as the in-house developed telecommunications-specialized AI model 'ixi-GEN,' 'PQC' (Post-Quantum Cryptography) that provides a safe security environment in the era of quantum computing, 'Anti-DeepVoice,' a technology that distinguishes deepfake voices to prevent voice phishing, the personal AI agent 'ixi-O' expanding from mobile to home, the AI-based video analysis solution 'ixi-Vision,' and 'AIDC,' the largest data center in the metropolitan area, will catch the attention of global customers and partners at MWC25.
In particular, a structure named 'ixi Future Vill' will be placed in the center of the exhibition, showcasing future lifestyles transformed by AI technology. ixi Future Vill is a work that captures the lives of various customers living in future residential spaces. It is expected to depict how future people will solve daily difficulties and communicate through LG Uplus's AI technology, ixi, while creating a sustainable future.
Additionally, various services utilizing ixi will be introduced, including automated scheduling and search reservation purchases, content recommendations and real-time subtitle position changes using media agents, examples of solving partner corporations' pain points using corporate AI solutions, humanoid robots equipped with ixi, and digital humans.
Meanwhile, at this MWC25, LG Uplus President Hong Beom-sik, along with other major executives, will attend to observe services and technologies from various global corporations and discuss expanding global collaboration with big tech companies in fields such as AI, networks, and platforms.
Jung Hye-yoon, head of the marketing group at LG Uplus, noted, 'We will showcase LG Uplus's businesses and technological competitiveness, such as ixi and AIDC, which are enhancing competitiveness based on AI, at MWC. We aim to show the world that technology for people can enrich customers' lives and help create a brighter future beyond simply presenting future technologies.'
