SAP Asia Pacific (APAC) announced on the 19th that it has appointed Simon Davies as the newly restructured regional president for the Asia-Pacific region. Chairman Davies will oversee SAP's strategy, operations, human resources, sales, services, partnerships, and revenue across the Asia-Pacific region based in Singapore.

Chairman Simon Davies will oversee markets in Korea, Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, the Greater China region, and Southeast Asia, managing over 31,000 employees across 78 offices. Current clients served by SAP in the Asia-Pacific region include major companies such as Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, NEC Corporation, Coles Group, Wipro, Fujitsu Limited, Shiseido, Himalaya, Cochlear, and Japan Airlines.

Chairman Davies has played a significant role in developing, selling, and implementing IT solutions in the Asia-Pacific region over the past 25 years, having worked with global software companies such as Microsoft, Salesforce, and Oracle. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and general manager for the Asia-Pacific and Japan region at Splunk for over three years. He is also a board member of several pre-IPO technology corporations and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
