Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, announced that he plans to unveil his artificial intelligence (AI) corporation xAI's latest AI chatbot model "Grok3" on the 17th at 8 p.m. (Pacific Time). In Korean time, it will correspond to the 18th at 1 p.m.
Musk noted on the 15th (local time) via social media platform X that this schedule is forthcoming, saying, "The distribution of Grok3 will proceed with a live demonstration." He also claimed, "Grok3 is the smartest AI on Earth."
Musk added, "I will be refining the product with the team throughout the weekend, so I will be offline until then," implying that the frequency of his posts on X will decrease for two days due to the preparations for the launch.
Musk participated as an investor in the establishment of OpenAI in 2015 but stepped down from the board in 2018 and disposed of all his equity. After OpenAI released ChatGPT and led the AI boom, he criticized the organization for pursuing excessive profits using its technology. He then claimed he would counter corporations focused on profit and established xAI in July of the same year, subsequently introducing "Grok" and "Grok2."
