Korean animation corporations held export consultations worth 920 billion won at the 'Kidscreen Summit 2025' in San Diego, U.S., intensifying their efforts to target the North American market.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency noted that from the 9th to the 12th, domestic animation corporations conducted a total of 347 business consultations during the event, resulting in export consultation achievements totaling $62.8 million (approximately 920 billion won), a 20% increase from last year, as of the 14th.
'Kidscreen Summit' is a leading kids content event in North America, with over 1,500 industry professionals attending this year from 50 countries worldwide.
In the Korea Pavilion operated by the Ministry of Culture and the Korea Creative Content Agency, 17 domestic corporations, including Neon Creation, Eunhu Holdings, ICONIX, and Youngsilup, participated and held consultations with international buyers.
During this event, domestic corporations expanded their cooperation beyond simple export consultations by signing co-production agreements with U.S. animation corporations. Neon Creation entered into a co-production contract with the U.S. dubbing company Three Beeps for 'Bear with Us', while Eunhu Holdings signed a memorandum of understanding with U.S. Gamara Media for the entry of 'Mold Tribe in the Picture' into the U.S. market.
The Korea Creative Content Agency plans to operate the Korea Pavilion at the 'CICAF 2025' (China Hangzhou Comic & Animation Festival), 'MIFA' (Annecy International Animation Market), and 'ATF' (Asia TV Forum) this year, actively supporting the overseas advancement of domestic animation.
