Nexon paid a performance bonus of 160 billion won to the development team that led the success of major new releases, including "Dungeon Fighter Mobile" and "The First Descendant."
According to the gaming industry on the 14th, Nexon held an online briefing for employees that day to share this information. This performance bonus was established as encouragement for organizations that released new projects in the last two years and achieved positive results in the global market. Nexon has implemented a new development performance bonus (G.I., Growth Incentive) system since 2014.
Nexon's revenue was driven by the release of "Dungeon Fighter" Mobile in China in May. According to Nexon, the revenue from the intellectual property (IP) of "Dungeon Fighter," developed by its subsidiary Neople, increased by 53% year-on-year due to the impact of the mobile version's launch in China, marking the most notable achievement among all game IPs. Nexon also paid performance bonuses to the key development and operations teams of "Prasia: The Franchise," "Dave the Diver," and "The First Descendant."
Nexon announced that it achieved annual revenues of 4 trillion won, operating profit of 1.1157 trillion won, and net profit of 1.2116 trillion won through its announcement of the fourth quarter and annual results for 2024 made the previous day.
