KT announced during its conference call for the 2024 fourth-quarter earnings held on the 13th that it plans to unveil 'Korean-style artificial intelligence (AI)' services by the second quarter of this year through collaboration with Microsoft (MS).

Jang Min, KT's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), said, "Through our partnership with MS, we plan to launch a security-enhanced Korean-style Secure Public Cloud within the first quarter to secure references targeting B2B (business-to-business) corporations." He added, "We are aiming for a second-quarter release of a Korean-style AI model trained on Korean data based on GPT-4, and we are currently training on diverse data in various fields, including history, politics, and law in our country."

On that day, KT stated, "We are making proposals to MS to first target and provide services to 30 selected strategic customers in Korea," and noted, "We have strengthened our consulting functions to approach customers professionally in terms of organizational capabilities. We also established a new AX (AI transformation) specialized organization composed of capable individuals to meet with our clients."
