LG Innotek announced on the 12th that it will participate in the 34th Lighting Workshop to be held in Munich, Germany, from the 19th to the 20th (local time) to showcase technology related to vehicle lighting.

The Lighting Workshop is a platform for global vehicle manufacturers (OEM) and leading corporations in automotive components to share industry issues and technological trends. It is organized by DVN, an authoritative professional media and academic organization in the automotive component industry. This year's workshop will be held under the theme of "sustainability, accelerating technological advancement, software, and new challenges in the vehicle lighting industry."

LG Innotek is set to participate in the "vehicle light source innovation technology" session on the 19th, where it will introduce the innovative technology applied to the vehicle flexible three-dimensional lighting module "Nexslide."

LG Innotek holds over 700 patented technologies related to surface light sources (light sources that shine uniformly and have no thickness). Utilizing this technology allows for the creation of vehicle lighting modules that are thin while emitting more uniform and brighter light.

During the workshop, LG Innotek plans to set up a standalone exhibition booth and showcase various Nexslide lineups that can be applied to the front and rear of vehicles.

It will also unveil new products such as "Slide Edge," which has become thinner by replacing LED packages with LED chips, and "Nexslide Vision," which combines pixel lighting technology with smart film technology.

After the workshop, LG Innotek plans to hold a roadshow targeting major OEM customers in Europe as part of a drive to expand its market share in the European vehicle lighting sector. This initiative aims to develop its vehicle lighting business into a trillion-won industry by 2030.

Yu Byeong-guk, head of the automotive components division at LG Innotek, noted, "LG Innotek will continue to showcase vehicle lighting module products that provide differentiated customer value, and will emerge as a technology partner trusted by customers in the European and Japanese vehicle lighting markets, beyond North America."
