Microsoft Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Satya Nadella is scheduled to attend the 'Microsoft AI Tour in Seoul' at the A.T. Center in Yangjae, Seoul, on the 26th of next month. This event will share AI technology and global trends, marking Nadella's first visit to South Korea in nearly two years since 2022.
The IT industry expects that Nadella is likely to assess the progress of the AI and cloud partnership with KT during his visit and discuss strategic goals for this year. KT and Microsoft signed a five-year partnership for AI and cloud collaboration in September of last year.
Particular attention is focused on the AI model specialized for Korea that the two companies are jointly developing. KT plans to utilize Microsoft's AI technology to develop specialized AI models and services for Korean law and healthcare, and is working on localized AI solutions based on GPT-4o and the small AI model 'Phi.'
