On the 12th, the Apple Developer Academy announced that it is recruiting participants for the Foundation Program, a four-week short-term app development course designed to cultivate creativity and problem-solving skills through coding. The program is open to anyone over the age of 19, regardless of education, experience, or gender, and the application period is until February 18.
The 'Apple Foundation Program,' which was first introduced last year, provides learning opportunities that allow participants to experience practical growth by solving real community issues through a mobile app development course using the Swift language, as well as Challenge-Based Learning.
The program is structured to allow participants to experience the core content of the Apple Developer Academy's nine-month course, where they can learn specialized skills necessary within the iOS app economy, including coding, design, marketing, and artificial intelligence.
In particular, the Foundation Program operates with fewer than 30 participants, creating an educational environment that can intensively foster growth through learning. Additionally, the program is fully funded by scholarships, providing all participants with the necessary Apple equipment free of charge.
The Apple Developer Academy has been operating a total of 18 academy programs worldwide since starting in Brazil in 2013, with locations in Indonesia, Italy, and more. At the academy, participants can gain essential competencies that contribute to local enterprises and communities by experiencing coding, design, marketing, business, and more. In South Korea, the only academy is located at POSTECH, which opened in 2022.
