Naver Cloud signed a memorandum of understanding on the exchange of information and business cooperation among domestic digital corporations aiming for entry into the Saudi digital market with startups participating in 'LEAP 2025' at the 'LEAP 2025' event held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the 10th.
The MOU was attended by Chae Sun-joo, Naver's representative for external and ESG policies; Kim Yu-won, Naver Cloud's CEO; Seok Sang-ok, CEO of Naver Labs; Lee Sang-jung, head of the Korea Internet & Security Agency; Moon Byeong-jun, deputy ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Saudi Arabia; and representatives from 11 domestic IT startups.
The MOU signing ceremony included various domestic digital startups in fields such as security and smart city, autonomous driving, AI solutions, and software development that hope to enter Saudi Arabia and participated in the 'LEAP 2025' event.
The participating startups are SSNC (security software, CEO Han Eun-hye), Sparrow (security software, CEO Jang Il-soo), Genians (security software, CEO Lee Dong-beom), AXGATE (security software, CEO Kim Gi-bae), Yulak (digital forensics, CEO Yoo Bong-seok), GITSN (security software, CEO Han Dong-jin), AXGATE (security software, CEO Joo Gap-soo), Cynics System (CCTV security, CEO Lee Joo-bong), Mobiltech (smart city/autonomous driving, CEO Kim Jae-seung), Octaco (security software, CEO Lee Jae-hyung), and VIRNECT (AI solutions, CEO Ha Tae-jin).
Team Naver aims to collaborate with various domestic startups with outstanding technological capabilities through this MOU and intends to further expand the digital ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. In fact, Team Naver is continuing its collaboration with LX and K-water for the establishment of a digital twin platform in Saudi Arabia.
Chae Sun-joo, Naver's representative for external and ESG policies, noted, "The digital ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, including the digital twin sector that Team Naver is building, is expected to grow even more rapidly in the future," and added, "We will strive to grow together through practical cooperation with various domestic startups and partners that have excellent technological capabilities and are pushing for global expansion."
