Last year, 'Black Desert' completed its universe by launching 'Seoul', the final installment of the 'Land of Morning' content that debuted in 2023. Additionally, the company expanded its regions significantly by launching its long-prepared services in China. In the fourth quarter, it made a fresh change by adding a new class 'Deadeye', which uses firearms, the first of its kind in the 'Black Desert' series.

The new title 'Red Desert' is also generating expectations. It drew the attention of global gamers by mentioning a planned release in the fourth quarter of 2025 at The Game Awards (TGA) held in Los Angeles in December last year. The new trailer released at the event received positive reviews for showcasing an open-world environment and combat system utilizing its self-developed engine, 'BlackSpace Engine.'

Pearl Abyss is planning to strengthen live services for 'Black Desert' and 'EVE' IPs this year, beginning with marketing activities for 'Red Desert' at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in March.

Jo Mi-young, CFO of Pearl Abyss, noted, '2025 will be a year to maintain stable services for 'Black Desert' and 'EVE' while doing our best for the successful launch of 'Red Desert.'
