Sejong Networks announced on the 10th that it will strengthen safety nets for socially isolated households by launching its age-tech-based service "Sejong All-care."
"Sejong All-care" is an upgraded service based on the existing Clova Care Call AI care phone service, adding a real-time check function and dispatch service through a dedicated monitoring app to enhance its monitoring capabilities. As the proportion of people aged 65 and over exceeds 20% of the total population, entering a super-aged society, the plan is to provide closer and optimized care for social care subjects by upgrading the AI care monitoring service based on age-tech.
"Sejong All-care" detects the daily activities of care recipients, such as the elderly living alone, those with mild cognitive impairment, and vulnerable groups, based on various data like call history, screen time (recording time spent on apps or websites), and phone charging history, once the care recipients install the dedicated app "All-care." Local government officials can continuously monitor the well-being of the care recipients through the All-care system.
If there is no response from the care recipient or if a crisis situation is deemed, Clova Care Call automatically makes a welfare call, then dispatches personnel to the site to ensure the safety of the care recipient and contact 119 or the local government depending on the situation afterward.
Kang Hyo-sang, vice president of the Telecommunications Business Division at Sejong Networks, noted, "The elderly population becoming isolated is rapidly increasing due to the reduction in the scale of social networks and declining physical activity capabilities, and Sejong All-care is a service that can manage them more systematically and proactively by linking AI and data," adding that it will be helpful for public officials responsible for care management and supervision.
