Information technology (IT) security and authentication platform corporation Raonsecure announced on the 10th that it will launch a subscription-based penetration testing service called 'Raon PTaaS (Penetration Testing as a Service)' that allows corporations to use simulated hacking services to check security vulnerabilities of their systems on a monthly basis.
The Raonsecure White Hat Center, which offers premium penetration testing services, is staffed by some of the world's top white hat hackers, who have won at prestigious hacking competitions around the world, including the U.S. Defcon, Japan's Seccon, and the Cyber Attack Defense Competition (CCE) organized by the National Intelligence Service. Raonsecure's white hat hackers identify potential vulnerabilities exposed to cyberattacks in public institutions, financial institutions, and corporations, safeguarding national and corporate information assets.
This type of penetration testing service has primarily been utilized by organizations such as public institutions and large corporations, where investments in cybersecurity are relatively easier to manage. However, many small and medium-sized enterprises recognize the need for security investments, yet cost burdens remain a barrier. These corporations can select the necessary products among Raonsecure's penetration testing services and conveniently subscribe on a monthly basis, making it possible to check and analyze vulnerabilities at an affordable expense.
In particular, Raonsecure has registered competent white hat hackers as technical personnel with the Ministry of Science and ICT, fitting the title of a nationally designated information security service corporation, fundamentally addressing issues of reliability by having qualified experts perform penetration testing.
The penetration testing subscription service introduced by Raonsecure consists of three types: standard, premium, and premium plus. Corporations that require ongoing security vulnerability assessments can choose tailored services and apply for monthly subscriptions. Additionally, they can freely utilize the contracted penetration testing consulting during the subscription period and proceed with vulnerability checks and analyses swiftly and flexibly.
Raonsecure expects that its penetration testing subscription service, which can prevent security system vulnerabilities in advance and receive regular consulting, will meet demands in both the domestic and overseas PTaaS markets. Indeed, Global Market Insights predicted that the global PTaaS market would reach $710 million by 2032, growing at an average annual rate of 17.6% from $160 million in 2023.
Especially with the increasing sophistication of cyber threats, protecting valuable information assets is becoming increasingly difficult with a one-time vulnerability check. Accordingly, the importance of 'continuous assessments' is highlighted in both domestic and international information security industries, and Raonsecure's penetration testing subscription service aligns precisely with this demand in the global market.
