NHN Data announced on the 7th that its Instagram direct message automation solution "Socialbiz" has surpassed 1,200 clients within a year of its launch and recorded a 220% increase in revenue compared to the previous quarter, establishing itself as a key marketing tool for Instagram.
Socialbiz is a marketing solution developed by NHN Data in collaboration with Meta, providing a variety of customized features centered around Instagram's direct message (DM) automation functions. It supports functions that maximize marketing effectiveness, including automatic replies, automatic replies to comments on Reels and posts, replies to story mentions, fixed menus within chat rooms, and carousel messages, allowing clients to utilize these features based on customer behavior.
Since its launch, Socialbiz has shown rapid growth, increasing its client base from about 500 in November last year to over 1,200 at the end of January this year, strengthening its market position. It has secured a diverse clientele, including major influencers like Danamom and Reels Hacker, as well as corporate clients such as Musinsa, and the proportion of B2B (business-to-business) customers, including corporations and small businesses, has doubled compared to the early stages of its launch. The service retention rate among all paying customers also reached 98%, indicating high satisfaction.
With the increase in customers, revenue has also grown significantly. Socialbiz's revenue for the fourth quarter of 2024 increased by 220% compared to the third quarter and by 935% compared to the second quarter, continuing its steep growth trend. The volume of messages sent by clients rose as well, increasing by 315% in the fourth quarter of last year compared to the previous quarter, with the average cumulative number of messages sent by top clients reaching 164,000. In terms of message types, replies to comments on posts and Reels accounted for 96% of the total.
NHN Data plans to concentrate on enhancing the services of Socialbiz this year. Based on its accumulated data analysis capabilities in marketing performance measurement, it will strengthen performance analysis functions and incorporate generative artificial intelligence (AI) to further advance automation features. This will include functions that recommend effective response phrases within question-and-answer templates or provide automatic drafts.
