TeamViewer announced on the 6th that it will integrate with Google Meet.
Google Meet is a business communication platform utilized by corporations of various sizes. With this TeamViewer integration, remote access and troubleshooting features have been added. Consequently, corporations can receive IT support directly within the platform without the need to switch to a separate application.
Using the "TeamViewer Remote Control" add-on, users can start a remote support session during a Google Meet meeting without any separate installation. The IT support department can instantly connect to the session through a web browser, and users who have not installed TeamViewer can easily participate through a simple automatic download. Additionally, remote support sessions can be executed even during real-time meetings, allowing for rapid resolution of technical issues.
This integration enhances user convenience while adhering to TeamViewer's security standards, providing a safe remote support environment.
Stephan Prestel, senior vice president of strategic partnerships at TeamViewer, noted, "We integrated the remote access feature to prevent corporations using Google Meet from experiencing decreased productivity due to technical issues," adding, "This allows for immediate IT support during meetings without the need to switch between different apps, leading to smoother collaboration."
Lee Hye-young, the representative of TeamViewer Korea, said, "As hybrid work environments are becoming established domestically, the importance of IT support is growing. TeamViewer will support corporations in resolving technical issues quickly and safely without disrupting their existing workflows through the integration with Google Meet."
