Naver Webtoon's video subsidiary Studio N announced on the 6th that it plans to release 'The Uncanny Counter' animation Season 2 on the North American animation platform Crunchyroll.
Crunchyroll is a large animation platform with 120 million subscribers.
'The Uncanny Counter' tells the story of an ordinary high school girl, Lim Jugyeong, who gains confidence through makeup. It was serialized on Naver Webtoon from 2018 to 2023 and gained great popularity, with a global cumulative view count of 6.4 billion.
The first season of the animation was released last year, and driven by its popularity, Season 2 is also in production.
Kwon Mikyoung, the head of Studio N, said, "Having received recognition for the potential and production capabilities of webtoon-based animations in the Western animation market, we will present Season 2 with even higher quality."
