LOTTE Innovate announced on the 6th that it has signed a contract for the projects ‘Airport Railroad Phase 1 alternative investment automated fare collection (AFC) facility manufacturing, purchasing, and installation’ and ‘Phase 2 communication facility improvement work for the station and main line.’
LOTTE Innovate will replace and upgrade the aging equipment in each target section of the automated fare collection (AFC) facility Phase 1 project and the communication facility improvement work Phase 2 project, carrying out all processes from design to test operation.
In particular, the company plans to establish a system that can proactively respond to future environments, considering various payment methods for foreign tourists, product design that complies with laws regarding the prohibition of discrimination against individuals with disabilities, and barrier-free applications for socially disadvantaged groups (such as the visually impaired, color blind, and hearing impaired).
Additionally, LOTTE Innovate will design and manufacture aging communication facilities (transmission facilities, broadcasting facilities, video surveillance facilities, etc.) in the section from Seoul Station to Gimpo Airport Station, Cheongna International City Station, Yeongjong Station, and Yongyu Transport Base, as well as the mainline optical cable. The company plans to carry out stable system improvements and transitions for the communication facilities currently in operation.
LOTTE Innovate plans to pursue work from establishment to improvement in a connected manner after winning this project following two previous bids for communication facility construction in 2018 and 2020. The company aims to establish a stable communication system operation environment, targeting the assurance of the airport railroad's stability, improvement of system management, and increased operational efficiency.
