The mobility platform SOCAR released on the 6th a list of popular dating spots for Valentine's Day season based on users' stop data. This stop data was extracted from the locations of vehicles that were parked with the engine off for more than 30 minutes and less than 5 hours within a 1km radius of major hotspots across the country for one month last February.

According to the data, the most visited location by SOCAR users for Valentine's Day season dates was the Hanam-Misa Cafe Street. It appears to have emerged as a popular dating spot due to its spacious parking, unique interior design, and the concentration of large cafes.

In second place was Gyeongju Hwanglidangil, a popular walking course in North Gyeongsang Province. It has been confirmed to be consistently popular among all age groups due to its accessibility to major cultural landmarks and traditional Hanok accommodations. The most visited dating spot in Seoul was also found to be Jamsil Songridangil, known for Seokchon Lake and its bustling commercial area.

The unique exhibition and shopping date spots, such as the Gangneung Art Museum and the Namyangju Hyundai Premium Outlets, ranked 3rd and 5th, respectively. Natural scenic spots, including Haeundae in Busan, Metasequoia Road in Damyang, Hanbat Arboretum in Daejeon, and Soyanggang Skywalk in Chuncheon, also made it into the top 10.

SOCAR is running a 'Valentine's Day SOCAR Romantic Spot' promotion until the 28th to celebrate the Valentine's Day season. First, all members will receive a coupon for a 45% discount on car-sharing lending fees. The coupon can be applied to vehicles used within Korea this month. To help ensure a worry-free date, a 20% discount coupon for parking at 'Everyone's Parking' will also be provided. The parking discount coupon code will be sent to all members who use car-sharing for more than 4 hours within this month.

Special benefits for a smooth date will also be offered. A 20% discount on exhibition tickets will be provided to everyone visiting the Gangneung Art Museum using SOCAR. Additionally, detailed information on recommended targets for major dating spots, congestion by time period, and recommended parking lots can also be found on the event page within the SOCAR app.

Ahn Hong-ki, head of SOCAR's Service Growth Group, noted, "We analyzed stop data to help individuals spend a more comfortable and romantic Valentine's Day and identified recent dating trends. In the future, we plan to continually introduce promotions that will provide convenient and special travel experiences by closely monitoring the usage patterns of SOCAR members."
