LG Electronics announced on the 5th the launch of a new lineup of washer-dryer products that can complete washing and drying with a single button press, along with a new subscription care service.
Recently, LG Electronics introduced the "Tromm Object Collection Wash Combo" featuring TrueSteam. The washing and drying capacities are 25 kg and 15 kg, respectively.
TrueSteam is a technology that boils water at 100 degrees Celsius to create fine steam particles, which are sprayed on laundry during drying to effectively disinfect clothing. According to test results from the Korea Apparel Testing & Research Institute (KATRI), TrueSteam was shown to eliminate 99.99% of harmful bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. The fine steam also reduces wrinkles in dried fabrics.
With the release of the Wash Combo TrueSteam, LG Electronics now operates two versions of the Wash Combo: one that includes a "detergent automatic dispenser" that detects the weight and dirtiness of laundry to automatically dispense the appropriate amount of detergent, and the existing model. Hygienically-minded customers can choose the new product, while those prioritizing ease of use can select the existing model with the automatic detergent dispenser.
The care service has also been improved, allowing customers to use products with peace of mind under expert management. The "Lite Plus" care service applied to the wash combo lineup includes a care manager who manages the washing tub with a dedicated drum care agent developed by LG Electronics and a professional drum care course, along with a steam care service that sprays steam to clean areas where detergent or foreign substances tend to accumulate, such as the detergent compartment and its mounting area, and the rubber packing section.
Customers can subscribe to Wash Combo Steam and choose their desired visit frequency of 6 months or 12 months. During the subscription period, free service for any part malfunctions that occur during use is also provided.
Wash Combo Steam is equipped with the AI DD motor, which symbolizes LG Electronics' differentiated key component technology known as Core Tech. Utilizing deep learning AI technology, it provides customized washing and drying with 6 motions that reduce damage to fabrics based on their material, weight, and dirtiness.
The retail price of Wash Combo Steam is 4.54 million won, and customers can choose between the colors Nature Beige and Nature Green. The monthly subscription fee, based on a 6-year contract with a care manager visiting every 12 months, is 85,900 won.
