Nexon, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year with various updates and events, recorded a high market share in PC rooms for its major live games in the new year of 2025.
According to Nexon on the 3rd, it is stably providing a variety of games, including "FC Online," "MapleStory," "Sudden Attack," "Dungeon & Fighter," and "KartRider: Drift," and has secured a broad user base through new content and events tailored to user preferences.
"FC Online (football online game)" ranked 3rd in PC rooms with a 6.63% market share as of Jan. 15, according to The Log. The game has successfully attracted new and returning users through a collaboration event with the popular girl band QWER and generous rewards, and it plans to update the "25TOTY" class on Jan. 18. Additionally, it aims to provide a more convenient gameplay environment through the addition of new legendary players, the overhaul of the "player condition system," and improvements to the "coach mode."
"MapleStory (online MMORPG)" introduced the "1+4 level-up" benefit in its winter large-scale update "NEXT," achieving a 6.25% market share and ranking 4th in PC rooms. Immediately after the update, it rose to 9.39%, marking the second highest figure on record. The second update added the "Union Champion" system, allowing players to develop multiple characters to enhance their abilities. A new area titled "Talahaht" and the boss monster "Valdriks" are set to be revealed in February.
"Sudden Attack (online FPS)" is celebrating its 20th service anniversary in 2025 with the "2025 Season 1: Adrenaline" update, solidifying its position as a long-term leader in PC rooms. It revealed a new rank and character "C. Natalie," as well as a new weapon "TAC-9 Adrenaline," garnering attention by introducing singer and actress Hyeri as a new character.
"Dungeon & Fighter (2D action RPG)" is receiving positive feedback from users through the new season "Midday" update on Jan. 9, which includes the expansion of the maximum level, the addition of new dungeons, and the overhaul of the farming system. Since the update, PC room usage time has increased by 158%, and its rank has risen to 9th with a market share of 3.65%. Growth support events to attract new and returning users are also being continuously operated.
"KartRider: Drift (racing game)" has seen a sharp rise in PC room market share due to the free event season 2 that started on the 9th and the effects of the first original theme "Cowzy" 2nd update. As of the 15th according to The Log, it recorded a market share of 3.19%, entering the top 10 in game rankings. The upward trend continues with the "Engine Generation" update, the new mode "UP&DOWN," and the addition of the Bugatti partnership hypercar "Mistral."
