KT announced on the 3rd that it has launched two subscription services for the AI learning platform "Kwanda" developed by domestic venture company Masspresso. Kwanda is Masspresso's flagship service, which KT has invested 10 billion won in, making it the first among telecommunications companies to offer it.
Kwanda is a platform that utilizes optical character recognition (OCR) technology to solve problems photographed by users within 5 seconds using AI. It enhances self-directed learning capabilities through step-by-step solutions, tailored explanations, and additional AI questions. Local top instructors and students from prestigious universities provide detailed video solutions for over 1,200 workbooks and mock exams, resulting in high learning satisfaction. Currently, more than 8 million users across over 50 countries use the platform monthly, and the cumulative number of searches has reached 7 billion.
KT has introduced two subscription products: ▲ Kwanda Premium (monthly 18,500 won) and ▲ Kwanda Premium Lite (monthly 11,000 won). Lite is an advertising-based product exclusive to KT, and new subscribers who join by March 31 will receive a 50% discount until the end of June. With the discount applied, Lite will be available for 5,500 won per month (until June), and afterwards for 9,000 won per month.
Kim Young-gul, head of KT's Service Product Division (executive director), noted, "Through the AI learning platform Kwanda, we are able to provide students with a 24-hour self-directed learning environment," and added, "We will continue to expand customer-oriented AI services in the future."
