The pre-order for Samsung Electronics' new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 series, has begun, and the public support fund is expected to be set at a maximum of 245,000 won.
According to the telecommunications industry on the 24th, SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus announced the expected public support funds as they began pre-orders for the Galaxy S24 series. The company that set the highest level of public support funds among the three telecommunications companies is SK Telecom. SK Telecom has set public support funds ranging from 80,000 to 245,000 won for the Galaxy S25 series regardless of the model. When adding an additional support fund equivalent to 15% of the public support fund, the total support fund amounts to 92,000 to 281,750 won.
KT has set public support funds ranging from 60,000 to 240,000 won. If combined with the additional support fund, customers can receive support of 69,000 to 276,000 won. LG Uplus' public support fund was the lowest among the three telecommunications companies, ranging from 52,000 won to 230,000 won. When adding the additional support fund, it amounts to 59,800 to 264,500 won.
The public support fund for the previous model, the Galaxy S24, was set at a maximum level of 240,000 won at the time of its release, which is similar to the current level. Since Samsung Electronics has frozen the price of the new product, the telecommunications companies have set support funds at a level similar to that of the previous model. However, this is an estimated support fund, and the final determination will be made on the pre-sale date of February 4th.
Meanwhile, the retail price for the Galaxy S25 is 1,155,000 won for the 256GB model and 1,298,000 won for the 512GB model. The Galaxy S25 Plus is priced at 1,353,000 won for the 12GB memory with a 256GB storage model and 1,496,000 won for the 512GB model. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is priced at 1,698,400 won for the 12GB memory with a 256GB storage model, 1,841,400 won for the 512GB model, and 2,127,400 won for the 1TB model.
