ESTsoft announced on the 24th that it has released a new version of the image viewer and editor 'ALSee' for its utility program ALTools, which includes artificial intelligence (AI) features.
ALSee includes 'AI background removal' and 'AI image enhancement.' 'AI background removal' allows the AI to detect the main objects in an image and support the removal of complex backgrounds. 'AI image enhancement' processes low-resolution images using AI to generate high-resolution images.
ESTsoft noted that the AI image enhancement feature also enables the restoration of old photographs and improvement of the quality of low-resolution images downloaded from the web.
The new version of ALSee can be downloaded from the ALTools homepage and ALManager, and anyone can try out the AI features without logging in.
However, the AI features have a usage limit per day, and logging in as an EST member supports additional usage.
