The mobility innovation platform SOCAR announced on the 24th that it will conduct a partnership promotion with Shinsegae until the end of this year.
Through this promotion, SOCAR members can receive up to 55% discount benefits when renting a vehicle near the five premium outlets of Shinsegae Simon nationwide (Yeoju, Paju, Busan, Siheung, Jeju). A discount of 55% applies in Gyeonggi Province and Busan when reserving for more than 10 hours, while a 50% discount applies in Jeju.
Additionally, customers visiting the outlet using SOCAR will receive a 'SOCAR special coupon pack,' which includes free beverage coupons and discounts at F&B establishments. The coupon pack can be received by presenting the SOCAR usage history and event page at the information center of each outlet, and the membership of Shinsegae Simon will automatically be upgraded to silver.
SOCAR reported that an analysis of last year's visit data to Shinsegae Simon premium outlets showed about 26,000 SOCAR usage instances, an average vehicle lending time of 20 hours, and an average age of 32.5 years. This indicates the interest of a differentiated consumer group, as it was predominantly younger than the main customer demographic of the outlets, which is typically aged 40 to 50.
Andonghwa, head of SOCAR's car-sharing group, noted, "Through this partnership, we have created opportunities to offer SOCAR members more reasonable mobility and outlet shopping benefits," and added, "We will continue to collaborate with Shinsegae Simon to present differentiated customer experiences that link mobility and shopping."
