KT announced on the 24th that it has prepared a wealth of content and various prize benefits on Genie TV for the Lunar New Year holiday.
From January 24 to February 2, KT will host a '2025 Lunar New Year Special Hall' featuring carefully selected movies and original content from Genie TV, along with a prize event.
The representative event of the Lunar New Year Special Hall, 'We give to 2025 people!', allows customers to enter the draw after purchasing at least one of 14 popular movies, including 'Firefighter,' 'Large Family,' and 'Civil War.' A total of 2,025 customers will be selected through a lottery to receive practical prizes such as an iPad Air 6th generation 13-inch, Baedal Minjok gift certificates, and Naver Pay points. Customers can enter the event through the event pop-up on the TV screen or on the Genie TV mobile app after purchasing the relevant content.
A special event utilizing Genie TV original content will also be held. Among customers who watch three or more Genie TV original contents, 500 will be selected through a lottery to receive a 2,000 won TV coupon.
'Genie's Choice Theme Recommendation' showcases various movie recommendation themes. It helps customers spend their holiday more meaningfully by recommending movies based on special themes such as 2025 Lunar New Year special movies, past Lunar New Year holiday releases, and films starring actors born in the Year of the Snake. Additionally, popular films such as 'Alien + Human Part 2,' 'The Law of Love in the Metropolis,' and 'Tomb Raiding' will be offered at discounts of up to 50%.
The 'Kids Land,' an IPTV service for infants and toddlers, will conduct a 'Kids Land Lunar New Year Special Gift Party' for children. From January 24 to 30, popular and new content will be showcased based on characters through a 'Lunar New Year Special Free Theme Hall.' A total of 1,400 popular animations, including 'Catch! Tininping,' 'Brad's Barber Shop,' 'Secret Juju,' 'Hello Carbot,' 'Pororo,' and 'Pinkfong,' will be available for free to Genie TV customers.
Additionally, a gifting event offering 'Little Bus Tayo Sets' is prepared for new subscribers to Prime Kids Land. Customers who join Prime Kids Land in January will be automatically entered into a draw, with a total of 30 winners.
