Korea Oracle announced on the 23rd that it has provided Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to five domestic startups. The five companies have advanced their software-as-a-service (SaaS) based smart solutions through OCI compute, storage services, networking, and connectivity services, establishing a foundation to enhance their competitiveness in the global market.

The five companies that introduced OCI this time are SaaS developers that have successfully leveraged AI and machine learning technologies in various industrial sectors, including gaming, distribution, advertising, and biotechnology, based on the cloud. They were selected through the global corporate collaboration program "Miracle" conducted in partnership with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), and Seoul National University of Science and Technology, allowing them to receive support for growth through collaboration with the government and global corporations and seek opportunities to enter the global market.

GamePro, which operates the data-driven e-sports coaching platform "Game PT," has succeeded in innovating personalized training programs by precisely quantifying and analyzing user data through OCI. In particular, the data analysis capabilities of OCI have increased operational efficiency, significantly reducing the effort required for reviewing noisy data and handling imbalanced data during the data preprocessing stage. As a result, the company transcended the limitations of existing services that simply suggested improvements based on in-game information and developed quantitative personalized training programs using win-loss correlation analysis and a deep learning-based recommendation system.

LuxBiome Co., a startup specializing in microbiome drug development, possesses a unique platform that can rapidly identify microbiome materials applicable to clinical use through genomic analysis. While the existing analysis approach took considerable time in the process of discovering new drug candidates linked to high-throughput genomic data and metabolomics, the introduction of OCI improved data processing speed by more than tenfold through high-performance infrastructure and AI/ML automation technologies. Additionally, by establishing an environment capable of real-time processing of large-scale data based on cloud scalability, they enhanced the efficiency of discovering new drug candidates with very high clinical success rates.

Latest K Co., which operates the overseas sourcing and management platform "KnapS," has built a modern and scalable system architecture through its transition to OCI. KnapS's automated product content solution significantly shortens sellers' product registration times and provides AI-based standardized product data management features. In particular, through generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technologies on OCI, they implemented differentiated AI services such as product description generation and keyword extraction, while modernizing the existing legacy system and reducing cloud expenses by 60% through the adoption of Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE).

MacKay, a small and medium-sized enterprise specializing in AI and big data, has garnered attention by presenting solutions such as the image generation AI "MOAI,” which adds context and continuity based on generative AI technology. To secure the high-performance GPUs and storage necessary for operating generative AI-based services, MacKay introduced OCI, utilizing reasonable pricing options to reduce expenses. They have also succeeded in the development of the generative AI-based product placement (PPL) solution "reloAD" and in enhancing the MOAI solution. The company assessed that this has led to successful collaboration with various sectors, including webtoons and advertising agencies.

Wysop, an HR solution platform corporation, is operating the small business-specialized HR solution "ShopSol" and the franchise management solution "FranSol." When securing franchise clients, a significant influx of employees from multiple franchises creates a structure where traffic surges, necessitating a high-performance yet cost-effective cloud infrastructure. Through migration to OCI, they reduced cloud expenses by 40% and improved app performance, enhancing customer satisfaction.

Yu Jung-yeol, Vice President of the Cloud Business Division at Korea Oracle, said, "The success stories of startups adopting OCI through this Miracle program demonstrate that Oracle plays a crucial role in not merely providing technology, but also in promoting innovation focused on AI and data, thereby elevating the technological competitiveness of promising domestic startups to a new level." He noted, "Through stable, high-performance cloud infrastructure and differentiated technological capabilities, Oracle will continue to expand the innovation ecosystem as a key partner for promising AI startups."
