LG Electronics announced on the 22nd that it will introduce a B2B (business-to-business) subscription program that allows users to utilize its large-screen smart display "LG Electronic Whiteboard" alongside Naver Cloud's business artificial intelligence (AI) meeting note-taking solution "Naver Works Clova Note" to target the smart office market.
The day before, LG Electronics signed a business agreement with Naver Cloud at the Naver Cloud Gangnam office in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, for the "joint subscription promotion and customized service development for corporate customers." Through this collaboration, the two companies will jointly offer subscriptions for the LG Electronic Whiteboard and the Clova Note, which helps record, summarize, and share meeting notes using AI.
When subscribing to both the LG Electronic Whiteboard and Clova Note, users can display meeting materials on one side of the large screen, which can reach up to 86 inches, while the AI simultaneously writes meeting notes in real-time. Additionally, it enables efficient communication as multiple users can simultaneously draw or take notes related to the meeting through multi-touch.
This joint subscription promotion will take place on the LG Electronics B2B website from Feb. 3 to Apr. 30. During this period, users subscribing to the bundled product will have access to both the LG Electronic Whiteboard and Clova Note for free for three months. An expert will regularly visit to manage the electronic whiteboard during the subscription period.
LG Electronics plans to speed up the sales of its LG Electronic Whiteboard through subscriptions via this collaboration and aims to expand the subscription service to various B2B products in the future. According to LG Electronics, the B2B subscription service is preferred by corporations as it has lower initial cost burdens and easier long-term cost predictions, which are important for cash flow management. Additionally, it simplifies accounting processes as asset registration is not required, eliminating depreciation expense.
Park Jun-seong, head of commercial enterprises at LG Electronics, said, "We will launch the electronic whiteboard subscription service in earnest and expand the subscription business to LG Electronics' various B2B products to alleviate the burden of product management and expenses for corporate customers."
