On the 16th, Google Cloud announced that it will include the latest generative AI technologies in its Google Workspace business and enterprise pricing plans. Corporate customers can utilize AI features such as Gemini and NotebookLM Plus without purchasing additional functionalities. AI features will be available to business plan customers starting on the 15th and to enterprise plan customers at the end of this month.
Gemini supports a variety of tasks, such as drafting emails, generating documents, and analyzing data in Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, and it enhances video conferencing features like meeting minutes and video quality improvements. Additionally, it can effectively handle repetitive tasks using the customized AI assistant, Gems. NotebookLM Plus is an AI tool specialized in research and learning support, allowing teams to share information and accelerate work adaptation.
Pricing policies have also been simplified, with the business plan that includes AI features priced at $14 per user per month. The new pricing policy will apply to new customers starting on the 16th, while existing customers will see it applied upon renewal after March 17, 2025.
Google emphasized the secure management of customer data, stating that customer data is not used for training the Gemini model or for advertising targeting.
