Kolon Benit announced on the 16th that it will fully advance the digital transformation (DX) business of the domestic manufacturing industry infrastructure this year.
Kolon Benit plans to expand its business area by providing digital innovation technologies for manufacturing processes to external corporations based on the smart factory construction experience of Kolon Group affiliates. Utilizing the successful application of smart factory technologies in subsidiaries such as Kolon Industries, KOLON GLotech, KOLON ENP, and KOLON Life Science, it aims to offer optimized digital solutions to external customers.
In particular, last year, Kolon Industries improved the production efficiency of the advanced material "aramid" at its Gumi plant, demonstrating the positive impact of data analysis and digital technology on manufacturing process improvement. Through this, Kolon Benit is showcasing advanced DX solutions such as strengthened consolidation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES), data-driven decision-making, and unmanned process systems.
Kolon Benit plans to enhance the connected data system based on its self-developed manufacturing data analysis solution "r-CoCoAna" to achieve process optimization, quality improvement, and increased productivity. This system analyzes data from the entire manufacturing process in real-time through an integrated data analysis platform, which includes Data Lake. The company explains that r-CoCoAna integrates and analyzes data collected from various solutions such as ▲Historian ▲Manufacturing Execution System (MES) ▲SPIC ▲Energy Monitoring System (EMS) to enhance the efficiency of the manufacturing site.
