KRAFTON announced its business strategy and mid- to long-term plans for 2025 through its in-house communication program 'KRAFTON LIVE TALK (KLT)' on the 16th.
On this day, marking the 113th session, KRAFTON CEO Kim Chang-han shared the vision on the topic 'KRAFTON's future over the next five years, franchise intellectual property (IP)' during 'KLT.' KRAFTON highlighted the acquisition of 'big franchise IP' as a mid- to long-term goal, emphasizing key growth strategies: ▲expansion of self-production investment ▲expansion of publishing volume ▲enhancement of resource allocation efficiency.
KRAFTON will significantly increase investments in self-production to secure unique and competitive franchise IP. The company plans to focus on new project development and talent acquisition centered around 14 creative studios, thereby strengthening its pipeline of new projects and further specializing its development capabilities. This strategy aims to create franchise IPs with high scalability and success potential.
Publishing aims to promote quantitative and qualitative growth of ip, increasing user engagement and revenue scale. It plans to nurture key franchise IPs by launching multiple new projects in the market.
To achieve this, it plans to apply various methods, including second party publishing (2PP) and licensing, while strengthening platform expansion across PC, mobile, and console, enhancing its global publishing capabilities to improve market competitiveness.
KRAFTON also plans to enhance its studio management system. The strategy focuses on efficiently allocating resources across all processes from creative discovery to production and commercialization, increasing the likelihood of success for competitive IP.
