Supermicro announced on the 15th that it has begun shipping the high-performance X14 server based on the Intel Xeon 6900 series processors (P-core).
Supermicro explained that the server provides optimized technology for not only environments requiring an enormous amount of graphics processing units (GPUs) but also for large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) and cluster-scale high-performance computing (HPC).
The Supermicro X14 server will be released in models such as a GPU-optimized platform that offers liquid cooling functionality. Supermicro is supporting remote testing and validation of the X14 server through programs like the Jump Start Program.
Charles Liang, president of Supermicro, noted that “the X14 servers, which are currently being shipped in large quantities, provide powerful capabilities and enhanced performance to customers worldwide.”
