KT announced that it held a B2B AX business strategy workshop based on its strategic partnership with Microsoft on the 14th.
The workshop, held at the Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun, was attended by over 200 employees from both companies, including KT Chief Executive Officer Kim Young-seob and Korea Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Cho Won-woo. Participants first watched a video reflecting on the significance of the KT-Microsoft strategic partnership established in September last year and then shared future business plans.
In detail, KT institutional sector head Jung Woo-jin presented the direction and plans for KT's AX business in 2025 under the title '2025, The Year of AX-celeration,' while Korea Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Cho Won-woo announced Microsoft's overall business push plans for 2025.
Next, KT Deputy Minister Song Seung-ho explained practical market penetration strategies based on the partnership along with Korea Microsoft executives. Discussions were also held to promote effective AI transitions tailored to the characteristics of individual industries such as public and finance. In the final segment, KT Chief Executive Officer Kim Young-seob conveyed the significance of the workshop and shared his requests.
KT GTM Deputy Minister Jeon Seung-rok noted that it was a meaningful occasion where both companies could once again clarify their direction just before the practical implementation of the AX collaboration project, stating, 'In the future, KT will provide the best value to customers in the era of digital innovation based on AI, cloud, and IT in cooperation with Microsoft.'
Korea Microsoft institutional sector head Park Seung-myeon said, 'The cooperation between the two companies is expected to create new synergies in the domestic AI and cloud market.' He added, 'Since 2025 is expected to be a turning point where AI becomes a key technology in our daily lives and work, Microsoft plans to actively support local customers' successful AI transformation journeys with reliable innovative technologies.'
