Samsung Electronics announced on the 13th that it will operate a new used smartphone compensation program called "Galaxy Easy Compensation" on Samsung.com starting from the 14th.

"Galaxy Easy Compensation" is a program that allows customers to sell their Galaxy smartphones on Samsung.com at any time throughout the year, even if they do not purchase a new product. Customers who wish to sell their used Galaxy smartphones can check the estimated value on the "Galaxy Easy Compensation" page of Samsung.com, apply for the compensation program, and send their products by courier according to the recovery guide.

The recovered products are classified into three grades based on their condition: Excellent, Good, and Recycle. Compensation amounts corresponding to the grades will then be paid to the customers.

Samsung Electronics aims to establish a convenient and safe compensation system for used smartphones through "Galaxy Easy Compensation" to preserve the market value of Galaxy smartphones in the long term. Additionally, through "Galaxy Easy Compensation," the company plans to purchase unused used smartphones from customers and utilize them for resale and other purposes to contribute to the circular economy.

"Galaxy Easy Compensation" is set to expand from the domestic market to overseas markets. The overall operation of the program, including used phone collection and compensation, will be handled by Samsung Electronics' partner, Likewize.

Jung Ho-jin, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Korea, noted, "We expect that this program will enhance the long-term value of Galaxy products and contribute to the circular economy." More detailed information about "Galaxy Easy Compensation" will be available on Samsung.com starting from the 14th.
