On the 9th, the global short-form video platform TikTok announced it will launch a new advertising tool called "Messaging Ads" in Korea.

TikTok Messaging Ads are divided into Direct Messaging Ads and Instant Messaging Ads.

Direct Messaging Ads provide a method for advertisers and users to directly connect within the TikTok app, helping users engage with ads without leaving the app. Instant Messaging Ads are designed to link TikTok ads to external messaging apps such as Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, allowing users to communicate seamlessly on their preferred platforms.

TikTok expects that through Messaging Ads, advertisers can streamline interactions with potential customers and effectively connect with high-purchase-likelihood customers based on quick communication and real-time conversations. Additionally, it provides opportunities to acquire new customers and foster sustainable relationships with brands.

TikTok noted, "The launch of this Messaging Ads in Korea is being recognized as an important tool for advertisers to leverage TikTok's active community and a global user base of over 1 billion to grow their businesses."
