SK Telecom held an 'IR Pitching Day' on the 8th (local time) at the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition, 'CES 2025', together with members of the 'K-AI Alliance' to showcase artificial intelligence (AI) innovative technologies.
On this day, Yoo Young-sang, president of SK Telecom, noted, 'Exchanges and cooperation among South Korea's AI innovation corporations are essential for becoming a global AI powerhouse,' and emphasized, 'We will strive to lead the development of the AI industry as the K-AI Alliance unites as a representative AI one team for our country.' SK Telecom aims to revitalize the domestic AI ecosystem and advance into the global market through the K-AI Alliance.
SK Telecom has increased the number of startups collaborating with its K-AI Alliance to 25 by adding Twelve Labs, Rainer, and Emocog. Twelve Labs is a video understanding AI model developer that has raised $50 million from an NVIDIA affiliate. Rainer is an AI search service corporation with over 10 million subscribers in more than 220 countries, while Emocog is a digital healthcare corporation developing technologies for the prevention and treatment of cognitive impairments.
Five member corporations, including Persona AI, Imprimed, LevelUp, Twelve Labs, and Emocog, participated in the event to present innovative technologies such as edge AI, cancer drug efficacy prediction, AI infrastructure, multimodal AI, and AI-based dementia management. During the Q&A session, the need for cooperation between domestic AI corporations and global expansion was discussed. SK Telecom also organized a 'Private Networking' event for networking between AI startups and Silicon Valley venture capitalists during the CES.
