Jung Chul-dong, president of LG Display, emphasized on the 2nd, "Equipped with rapid execution capabilities, let us create true change and become a corporation that regains the full trust of our customers."
In his New Year's address to domestic and international employees, Jung noted, "2025 must be a year that brings more substantial results for all ongoing business tasks."
To achieve this, Jung proposed three practical directions: ▲strengthening quality and cost innovation, ▲providing differentiated value unique to LG Display, and ▲fostering an organizational culture focused on performance creation.
He said, "Quality and cost competitiveness are fundamental to becoming a business partner that customers can trust," and urged a thorough review of quality management entities and processes, emphasizing the need to enhance the perceived quality level for customers while minimizing quality costs.
He added, "Cost innovation should be strengthened across all business areas, including products, technology, and processes, to improve the efficiency of material costs and optimize infrastructure and operational structures in line with business strategy directions."
To provide "differentiated value unique to LG Display," he identified tasks to be addressed by each business. This includes: ▲timely development and mass production of new models scheduled for this year for small and medium-sized OLEDs, securing differentiated technologies linked to customer roadmaps; ▲improving timely response capabilities and cost innovation for large displays, along with enhancing core performance; and ▲a call to strengthen cost competitiveness and LG Display's differentiated technological leadership for medium-sized and auto displays.
Jung stated, "Let us aim to become a corporation that can be trusted by customers, a partner that grows together with them, and a corporation that presents differentiated value and vision to our society," adding, "This year, let’s demonstrate more persistent execution to lay the foundation for management normalization beyond a turnaround."
Jung's New Year's message was translated into four languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese, and communicated to global employees working in various parts of the world.
