LG Electronics announced on the 1st that it will unveil its '2025 LG Gram lineup' at CES 2025, the world's largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition, on the 7th (local time) in the United States, with a simultaneous launch in the domestic market.
LG Electronics explained that this new product lineup features the 'multi AI' function, offering both on-device and cloud AI solutions, and is equipped with Intel's next-generation processor, the 'Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 2', while maintaining the portability characteristic of ultra-lightweight laptops.
The 2025 LG Gram provides an AI experience expanded to not only large language model-based services but also personalized services through the 'multi AI' function, which allows users to choose between on-device AI and cloud AI solutions as needed.
LG Electronics' on-device AI, 'Gram Chat On-Device', is a customer-tailored solution that performs AI computations within the laptop without network consolidation, based on the user's PC usage history or saved files.
For example, through the 'Time Travel' feature, AI helps users by recalling and displaying data that was accidentally deleted during work. The 'AI Search' feature allows users to search for files that are hard to find due to being saved a long time ago, distinguishing text within documents or images. All tasks are processed without network consolidation, enhancing security.
The cloud AI, 'Gram Chat Cloud', connects to the network and provides appropriate answers to complex problems based on the large language model GPT-4 Omni (4o). Customers who purchase the 2025 LG Gram will be able to use Gram Chat Cloud for one year free of charge. This service, based on GPT-4 Omni, is available for a fee in the market.
LG Electronics has equipped the 2025 LG Gram with Intel's next-generation processor, the 'Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 2'. Products with Intel's Arrow Lake show superior processing and graphics capabilities compared to previous models. Products with Luna Lake incorporate Microsoft's 'Copilot Plus PC' functionality, providing real-time translation subtitles or AI image generation features with three times the AI processing performance of the previous generation.
In the case of the 16-inch Gram Pro, the main body weight is 1,199g, and the model equipped with NVIDIA's high-performance GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card (16Z90TR) also weighs 1,359g. The 17-inch Gram Pro, despite its larger screen measuring 43.1 cm in width and a 90Wh high-capacity battery, weighs 1,369g.
The 'Gram Link', which was first introduced last year, has also evolved into 'Gram Link 2.0'. The Gram Link 2.0 allows users to answer calls directly on the LG Gram when connected to a mobile device. It can also share the mobile device's camera with the laptop for use as a webcam for video conferences.
LG Electronics will kick off a new product launch live event for the 2025 Gram Pro at 10 a.m. on the 7th at LG Electronics' online brand shop, followed by various launch events at key online and offline sales channels until the 21st. During the event period, various benefits will be offered, including free Adobe software.
A total of seven models will be released, including the LG Gram Pro (17 and 16 inches), LG Gram Pro 360 (16 inches), and LG Gram (17, 16, 15, and 14 inches), along with the new portable monitor, Gram +view (17 inches), specifically designed for the Gram.
Lee Yun-seok, head of LG Electronics' IT business division, noted, 'This year, we will set a new standard for AI PCs with the 'multi AI' function, which offers customers a new AI experience in their daily lives.'
