On the 30th, LG Electronics announced that it will unveil its ultra-premium 'LG Signature' refrigerator and dishwasher products equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology at CES 2025.
LG Electronics will set up an LG Signature Zone at CES 2025, the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition, which will be held in Las Vegas, U.S., on Jan. 8 (local time). The company explained that the LG Signature products being revealed this time reflect designs aimed at the ultra-premium market and incorporate AI technology.
The smart InstaView refrigerator combines transparent organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology with an AI-based ingredient management solution. The InstaView technology allows users to check the types and amounts of food without opening the door, implemented through transparent OLED technology.
The cover screen displayed on the transparent OLED display shows photos users desire as if in a picture frame or plays provided videos.
The AI management solution of the smart InstaView refrigerator alleviates the hassle of managing ingredients. The AI automatically recognizes the food entering and exiting the refrigerator through an internal camera and shows storage lists and locations via the linked LG ThinQ Food app.
The dishwasher features a 'pop-out handle' function. Normally, there are no protruding parts, but the handle rises automatically when a user's hand approaches.
The induction double oven slide-in range is equipped with gourmet AI technology that recognizes food with an internal camera and recommends menus. For three types of bakery items—baguettes, croissants, and muffins—once a customer selects the baking level, the AI determines the cooking status and sends an AI browning notification.
The hood-integrating microwave allows users to see the cooking process in real-time through a 27-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) screen mounted on the front. When customers link the Signature microwave with the oven, they can monitor the cooking status of the induction double oven slide-in range on the microwave display without bending over.
Ryu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics' Home Appliance and Home Entertainment Business, noted, "We will provide differentiated value in the global market by leading with LG Signature to make customers' daily lives special and valuable."
