The soop professional gaming team Freecs will operate under the name 'DN Freecs' starting next year through a partnership with DN Group.

Soop announced on the 26th that its professional gaming team Freecs has signed a naming sponsorship agreement with DN Group. The signing ceremony was attended by Shin Hyun-seok, Deputy Minister of Soop eSports & Gaming Content Business Division, Joo Young-dal, Director General of Freecs, and Lee Byeong-hoon, Executive Vice President of DN Solutions Communication Office.

Through this agreement, Freecs will operate under the team name 'DN Freecs' for the next three years starting in 2025. The uniforms and venues of the DN Freecs players will feature the brand logo of DN Group, including in League of Legends (LoL), Battlegrounds, and Tekken 8.

The new emblem of DN Freecs was decided to combine the 'D' of DN Group and the 'F' of Freecs. The 'D' of DN Group is designed in the shape of a shield, expressing the 'unbeaten will' that repays the trust of fans. The initial 'F' of DN Freecs was designed in an upward shape to emphasize the passion for achieving better results that meet fans' expectations.

Both companies plan to produce joint content and various programs for eSports and business cooperation, including fan events, to expand their connection with fans through this agreement.

DN Group’s DN Solutions is the number one manufacturing company in South Korea based on revenue and ranks third globally. It provides metal processing solutions across various industries, including automotive, semiconductor, information technology, and aerospace. DN Group aims to expand its influence among younger generations through the popular eSports in major countries in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Deputy Minister Shin said, 'We will strive to provide fans with more stunning matches and enjoyment along with the new team name through collaboration with DN Group,' adding, 'We will work to become a team that everyone wants to support through active communication with fans.'

Executive Vice President Lee stated, 'DN Group has pursued the value of satisfying customers with world-class manufacturing technology. Moreover, we believe that the spirit of sports, including fairness, respect, perseverance and passion, and teamwork, is also important to corporations. DN Group supports these values and eSports fans around the world.' He continued, 'Through this sponsorship, we will contribute to the revitalization of Korean eSports and communicate more closely with fans.'

The DN Freecs League of Legends team is preparing for new challenges through the enhancement of the existing player's capabilities and the recruitment of new players.
