Samsung Electronics announced on the 25th that it will unveil its "home heat pump EHS" products at the world's largest IT and home appliance exhibition, CES 2025, held in Las Vegas, USA, starting on the 7th of next month (local time).

EHS is a product used for floor heating and hot water in residential and commercial facilities, which can produce hot water using air heat and electricity, making it more efficient and producing less carbon than traditional fossil fuel boilers. Samsung Electronics is selling the "home heat pump EHS" products in over 40 countries in Europe and plans to expand to the U.S. market next year.

The EHS products scheduled for release in the U.S. market include two indoor units: the "Climate Hub Mono" equipped with a dedicated 200L water tank and the compact wall-mounted "Hydro Unit Mono," along with one outdoor unit, the "Mono R32 HT Quiet."

The two indoor units feature a 7-inch touchscreen-based "AI Home." Users can intuitively check and control product functions through the "AI Home," as well as control connected devices in the home. Additionally, through the "3D Map View," users can set indoor temperature and easily monitor solar energy usage if utilizing photovoltaic (PV) systems by linking the PV module to SmartThings.

The two indoor units apply a slim-fit size with a depth of 600mm, featuring a luxurious yet minimalist design that blends well with built-in furniture in the home. In particular, the wall-mounted "Hydro Unit Mono" can be freely installed in various spaces such as kitchens and laundry rooms, even without a separate boiler room.

The "Mono R32 HT Quiet" outdoor unit boasts powerful performance and a sleek design that does not compromise the external aesthetics of the building. Its energy efficiency is designed to be 10% higher than the top grade SCOP (Seasonal Coefficient of Performance) A+++, and it uses "R32" refrigerant, which has a global warming potential (GWP) 32% lower than conventional R410 refrigerants. It can supply hot water at a maximum of 70°C for heating and maintains 100% heating performance even in extreme conditions of -25°C.

Choi Hang-seok, executive director of Samsung Electronics’ DA division, noted, "We will actively target the U.S. market with the 'home heat pump EHS product' that offers high performance and efficiency as well as the convenience of energy management with 'AI Home' and SmartThings."
