SKC announced on the 24th that its subsidiary SK Enpulse will establish a new company, AiSemi Co., Ltd. (tentative name), by partitioning the semiconductor backend processing equipment and components manufacturing and sales business (testing, EFEM, and chemical institutional sector). After the partitioning, SK Enpulse will retain 100% equity of the new company, while businesses not subject to partitioning will remain with SK Enpulse. The confirmation of the partitioning will take place at the shareholders’ meeting on Jan. 31 next year, with the partitioning date set for Mar. 1 next year.
Additionally, SK Enpulse decided to sell its CMP pad institutional sector to private equity fund Han & Company for 341 billion won. The company aims to enhance corporate value and shareholder value through this sale and partitioning by improving its financial structure and reorganizing its business structure.
