Naver announced on the 23rd that it held an award ceremony on the 19th at its Naver 1784 office located in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, for departments that excelled in the fair trade compliance program this year.

The fair trade compliance program (CP) is an internal compliance system that corporations operate independently in accordance with the Fair Trade Act and related regulations to comply with the law and prevent unfair trade. Last year, Naver held a declaration ceremony led by CEO Choi Soo-yeon to express its commitment to practicing fair trade compliance.

This year, the autonomous regulation operation task force was selected as the outstanding department for CP implementation, while the membership operations planning team and the content service design team 3 were recognized as the superior departments for completing CP training. The autonomous regulation operation task force was highly evaluated for establishing an institutional foundation for service improvement in response to user protection and changes in the digital environment by being the first in the industry to launch and operate a private autonomous regulation committee. The membership operations planning team and content service design team 3 were noted for their excellent performance in completing the training programs provided by the fair trade compliance program.

The award ceremony was attended by Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon, autonomous compliance manager Lee Hee-man, and members of the award-winning departments. CEO Choi emphasized the corporate social responsibility once again and urged active cooperation and practice from employees, along with a continued commitment to fair trade compliance management.
