Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced on the 23rd that it has been selected as a 'DJSI World' corporation in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) evaluation for 16 consecutive years, being the first in Korea.
The DJSI is the first global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) index, initiated by S&P Global in 1999, where the top 10-15% of corporations evaluated are selected for the DJSI World.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics received high scores in waste management, supply chain management, and materiality assessment through comprehensive waste management and supply chain evaluation activities this time.
The company is implementing sustainability management policies in various fields, including the production of work clothing using recycled PET films from multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), regular sustainability evaluations for partners, operating high-efficiency equipment, and establishing responsible mineral management systems.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electro-Mechanics is recognized for its ESG performance by various evaluation agencies, including being included in the FTSE4Good index for the 14th consecutive year and receiving 'zero waste to landfill' certification for all its establishments both domestically and internationally.
