The developer of the mobile defense game Lucky Defense Game, 111 Percent, filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the new game company New Normal Soft, raising issues about plagiarism in its game.

According to the gaming industry on the 23rd, 111 Percent filed a request for a copyright infringement injunction against New Normal Soft at the Seoul Central District Court on the 13th of this month, with a lawsuit amount reaching 1.1 billion won. 111 Percent claims that New Normal Soft's game, Come in a Little Bit, which was released last month, is substantially similar to its Lucky Defense Game in gameplay and user interface (UI).

111 Percent pointed out that the following elements mimic its game: ▲ Terrain shaped like the number '8' ▲ Enemy invasion routes ▲ Button and icon configuration on the screen ▲ A system that transforms three identical characters into a new character. Lucky Defense Game has garnered attention for its simple controls and random elements since its release in May, achieving the top spot in the domestic app market download rankings. According to Sensor Tower data, the game reached 3 million cumulative downloads worldwide and sales of $20 million (about 28 billion won) within three months of its release.

New Normal Soft is a new game company established last year, primarily formed by developers from Zero Games, who have experience in producing titles like Chaos Mobile and Icarus Eternal. Recently, New Normal Soft announced Genesis War 3: Reverse after signing an intellectual property (IP) contract with LINE Games, but faced criticism for the content being similar to the Japanese game company VanillaWare's Unicorn Overload. In response, the company stated, "We caused confusion due to incorrectly communicated materials during the website revision process," deleted the related materials, and clarified that it is developing in "entirely different directions."
