Google announced on the 20th that it has added Korean support to its interactive artificial intelligence (AI) service, Gemini Live*, providing Korean users with a more natural and free AI assistant experience. This update enhances personalized services by reflecting the subtle meanings, idiomatic expressions, and honorifics system of the Korean language.

Gemini Live is an innovative AI technology that interacts with users in real-time to meet their needs and is available on Android and iOS devices.

Users can easily add Korean in the settings menu of the Google app, with the option to set up to two languages on one device. This update supports 10 Korean voice options and optimized audio quality, allowing for more natural and intuitive conversations, according to Google.

Google noted, “We collaborated with native linguists and cultural experts to provide a differentiated AI experience that goes beyond simple translation, and through this, we expect Korean users will be able to experience the benefits of a personalized AI assistant more deeply.”

It added, “We are continuously working to expand access to AI technology, and we plan to further expand language support for Gemini Live to offer the benefits of AI to global users.”
