Hancom and Computer noted on the 20th that it has expanded personalized educational support activities for multicultural youth and teachers to achieve sustainable value.
Hancom, together with its subsidiary Hancom Academy, has built smart classrooms at the alternative school 'Global Village School' located in Seoul and conducted lectures on EdTech for 22 multicultural teachers and parents.
This program was planned in collaboration with Smilegate Hope Studio. It aims to create a digital educational environment for newcomers. Newcomers refer to youth who were born and raised in their home country but moved to Korea.
To form smart classrooms, Hancom donated 21 PCs and advanced educational equipment such as electronic boards. In addition, Hancom Academy provided EdTech and AI-based flipped learning lectures through equipment utilization training.
In particular, this education introduced Korean language teaching methods using 'Hancom Typing x TOPIK,' which integrates Hancom's typing practice program 'Hancom Typing' with TOPIK content to support the improvement of Korean language skills and preparation for the Korean Language Proficiency Test (TOPIK) among multicultural children and youth.
Kim Yeon-su, CEO of Hancom, said, 'Helping multicultural youth adapt well to Korean society and prepare for the future is an important task for our society,' adding, 'We will continue to strengthen our ESG activities for social value creation using Hancom's IT (Information Technology) skills and educational expertise.'
