Com2us announced on the 19th that it is recruiting participants for the official rival match 'Summoners War Japan-Korea Super Match 2025,' where users from South Korea and Japan compete in 'Summoners War: Arena of Heaven.'
This tournament serves as a venue for exchange between users from both countries that began in 2023 and is set to hold its third edition. In the main event, the first part team match will be reduced from the usual five rounds to three rounds, and a new regulation has been added to prohibit dual participation from the first to the first round of the second part.
Applications for participation are open until 4 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2025, and users holding South Korean or Japanese nationality can apply through the in-game event page. From the applicants, the top 12 from each country will be selected as preliminary participants based on the results at the end of World Arena Season 31.
Additionally, through the 'SWC Advantage' system, which selects players with experience in global e-sports competitions as representatives, KUROMI (South Korea) and KANITAMA (Japan), who participated in the SWC2024 World Final, are expected to be prioritized for recruitment into the representative team.
The preliminaries will take place online on Feb. 8 (South Korea) and Feb. 9 (Japan), with each country selecting four participants for the main event. The main event will be held offline in March in Japan, and a total prize of $12,000 (approximately 17 million won) will be awarded to the winning team and the team MVP.
