LG Uplus launched its own character-themed U+ Kids Phone Munor Edition on the 19th, becoming the first telecommunications company to do so. The retail price is 365,200 won.

The new product is LG Uplus's eighth kid-specific smartphone aimed at preschoolers and elementary school students. It is based on Samsung Electronics' Galaxy A16 model, and LG Uplus's popular character Munor is featured in the wallpaper and theme.

Additionally, LG Uplus has introduced AI features for the first time in this kids' phone. The inclusion of features such as AI Care and AI Learning Play, designed to help ensure children's safety and foster proper smartphone usage habits, is a strong point.

AI Care monitors children's smartphone usage time and provides parents with AI analysis reports and customized usage guides. This feature is expected to ensure safe smartphone use for users as it can automatically block harmful content.

The AI Learning Play feature utilizes LG Uplus's Kids Metaverse platform, KidsTopia, enabling children to learn naturally with AI characters in a metaverse space. Additionally, by recording a child's height and weight, parents can check the growth graph according to the body mass index (BMI) and analyze suitable nutrients through the AI Growth Care feature.

Features for communication between parents and children, as well as child protection, have also been enhanced. The newly introduced Voice Letter feature allows parents and children to share messages regarding the child's concerns using a third party's voice, helping to strengthen their bond. Furthermore, child protection features include real-time location tracking, parental movement path display, real-time location remote shooting, and smartphone location tracking.

The U+ Kids Phone Munor Edition is packaged with exclusive items including a dedicated case, bag, jump rope, smart talk, and a screen protection film, available in two colors: light green and gray.
